Corrections
Every correction we make is timestamped on the article itself and logged here. An error a reader can't see fixed is an error twice.
The policy
- Factual errors are corrected on the article with a visible, timestamped note describing what changed; never silently edited.
- Load-bearing failures (an error the article's argument depends on) get the article unpublished and a retraction issued in the feed.
- Automatic re-checks: every article is re-verified against the live web at two hours and twenty-four hours after publication, and cited links are re-checked weekly. Most corrections start there, not with a complaint.
- Reader reports: email corrections@brightperiod.com with the article link and the claim in question. Substantiated reports trigger the same correction machinery as the automated checks.
The log
No corrections issued yet. This log started with the publication on June 12, 2026. If it stays empty too long, be suspicious; healthy publications correct things.
